Kelly’s Kids is open from 6:30AM until 6:30PM Monday through Friday with evenings, overnights, and weekends negotiable.

Financial agreements for children in care privately and those in licensed care through London Children’s Connection (L.C.C.) will differ.

For more information about LCC’s fees and policies for holidays and vacations, please contact Heather Mennen at 519-471-4300 x231.

Private Family Fees

Fees are $35 per day for up to 10 hours of care.  Each additional hour after 10 hours is $5.00.
To hold a spot for your child you must commit to a minimum of 12 days of care per month, or 3 days per week.

Once your child has been accepted into a care agreement you will be required to provide payment for their first two weeks of care as a security deposit.  These fees are non-refundable and can be used for the first two weeks your child is in care. Fees are due a week in advance on the Friday before by cash, cheque, or e-transfer.

There is an additional fee of $5.00 per day for payments that are late.  If your account has not been paid in full, including late fees, before the beginning of the next work week I will not be able to accept your child into care.  You are responsible for any fees associated with NSF cheques which must be paid in full along with any outstanding balance, including late fees, within two business days.

Subsidy

I am pleased to offer the option of subsidy for those who qualify.  Subsidy is managed directly through the City of London.
You can apply online at:
https://occmsbilling.london.ca/olaf/Default.aspx .

Although I may be able to answer general questions about subsidy or direct you to sources of information, any inquiries regarding your personal subsidy arrangements must be directed to your subsidy worker at the City of London or my licensed care co-ordinator at London Children’s Connection.

Overtime Fees:

A late fee of $1 per minute for every minute you are late (meaning past the agreed upon pick up time) will be charged.  If you are late for a valid reason and it is not happening consistently, we can work something out. You are expected to call or text to let me know that you will be late.  Most children are keenly aware of when they are to be picked up by their parents, so it helps if I can reassure them of the change in scheduling and when their parents will arrive.  Also, I will schedule evening appointments based on when the children in my care are picked up, so it can be very inconvenient to myself and the other party if I am unable to meet my commitment.

Holidays:

Kelly’s Kids is not open for care on Statutory Holidays including: New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, August Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.  No payments are expected for these holidays.

In addition, I may take 2 – 3 weeks of unpaid vacation throughout the calendar year.  I usually take this time over the winter holidays and the first week or two of the summer holidays with consideration to the needs of current families in care.  A minimum of two months notice will be given.

Several times a year I will attend professional workshops and occasionally these do fall during business hours.  You will not be charged for these days and will be given a minimum of one-month notice.

Absent Days and Vacation Time:

If your child is absent from care for any reason, full payment is still required.  Up to two weeks of unpaid vacation may be booked over the calendar year with a minimum of two weeks notice.

Daycare Closure:

If Kelly’s Kids is closed due to illness, a family emergency, or so I can attend a professional workshop you will not be charged for these days.  I will do my best to arrange for alternative care on these days, however, it is important that parents be prepared to make alternative arrangements.

Termination of Care:

Parents are required to provide two weeks notice, in writing, for termination of care.  Those providing less notice are still required to pay for the full two-week term of notice.

In the event that Kelly’s Kids must terminate care for any reason, with the exception of late payments, you will be notified as soon as possible and given no less than two weeks notice.  All efforts will be made to help you find alternative arrangements for care moving forward.

Openings:

We currently have two full-time spots available for children over the age of 2 and one full-time spot for a child under 2, all with a start date of September 3rd, 2019 or later.
