Hello everyone and thank-you for considering Kelly’s Kids Home Daycare for your family’s childcare needs.
My family first opened our home to provide childcare more than twenty years ago; it has been an incredibly rewarding experience and I am looking forward to another twenty plus years of spending my days in fun and friendship with young children.
My husband, George, and I have five children with our two youngest boys (young men really) living at home: William is 20 and Martin is 15. We also have three young grandchildren living near the west coast of Canada.
George has spent more than thirty years as a welder/fitter and is currently working in Ingersoll. We are very lucky that he has the flexibility to allow him to take the occasional Friday off work to help with field trips, as this is one of my favourite things to do with the daycare kids.
George also served with the Canadian Military for over twenty years and continues to serve our community through the Canadian Armed Veteran’s (C.A.V.) Motorcycle Unit. You have likely seen them riding around London, raising money to support various causes, as well as providing support to other veteran’s and those still currently serving. As a proud family with several veterans you will notice we wear red shirts on Fridays to show our respect and support to our Canadian troops. www.redfridays.ca
We are also proud Scouting and Guiding leaders. Having volunteered for over ten years in these organizations we are currently taking a break to settle into London, but are looking forward to easing back in throughout the year. George is currently a casual advisor with the Medical Venture/Rover Unit in Delaware, 1stdelwaremedvents.com , and I am looking forward to volunteering with the 143rd London Scouting Group next year.

Kelly’s Kids is an inclusive daycare for all members of our community <3 . Our family celebrates some Christian holidays, such as Easter and Christmas, but more in a traditional sense as we are not religious. As such, we are very open to learning about and celebrating other’s traditions and invite you to share with us your family’s beliefs and observances; whenever feasible we are happy to incorporate them into our programming. We are very open-minded people with a deep respect for all our beautiful differences. Kelly’s Kids is LGBTQ2S+ friendly and proud supporters of our local PFLAG group, www.pflaglondon.ca , as well as Trans*London, www.queerevents.ca/community-resources/community-groups/trans-london.
Kelly’s Kids is a pet friendly home. We believe that children of all ages benefit greatly from exposure to pets; that said, we also believe that young children should always be closely monitored when interacting with animals. We have three dogs and a few cats too. All our animals are rescues, some of whom we fostered and kept because they fit so well with our family and the daycare.
Spirit is our eight year old Collie cross who works as William’s service dog. Sunny is our seven year old Lab cross who is my dog. He is nearly always around the house staying close to me, but is not usually allowed in the playroom as he doesn’t look where he is sitting and is a larger dog. Bella is Martin’s Jack Russell cross; she is not allowed in the playroom as she is very bouncy and loves to spend most of her time with her best friend, Spirit.
All our cats are child-friendly but choose not to enter the playroom during daycare hours with the exception of our mama cat, Maple, who is unbelievably calm and gentle with a lovely, rumbly purr. None of the cats are allowed in the sleeping areas during naptime or in the kitchen during mealtime.
Open communication is strongly encouraged and valued at Kelly’s Kids; our daycare families are always welcome to ask questions or address concerns about any aspect of their child’s care or our programming.
